1Brief introduction
   Impregnator(paper machine) is one of the key equipments of APMP process. Chips after being extruded and fluffed absorb chemicals fully and evenly in the process of swelling and dispersing so as to react effectively in the reaction tank of the next step.
   2Structural features
   The structure of the diffuser is inclined screw structure. The helical blade can be divided into three parts: conveyance part, diffusing part and draining part. The blades in the conveyance part are intensified double blades, the blades in the diffusing part are single blades and the blades in the straining part are break blades. The diameter of the blades is the same, but the screw pitches are different in different parts.
   3Operation principals
   After being fluffed, the chips are pushed forward and chemicals are added into the chips between the extrusion fluffer and diffuser. In the diffuser, chips swell and disperse after being agitated. Chemicals are absorbed fully by the chips. Fresh water is added into the diffuser to maintain certain consistency and level of the chemical liquid so that the chemicals can be absorbed evenly by the chips. The conveyance part of the screw performs the functions of breaking up the chip wool lump and conveying the chips. The chip wool fully absorbs chemicals in the diffusing part. In the draining part, chips mix with the chemicals evenly and the excess chemicals will be filtered back to the lower part of the diffuser to make the discharged material reach certain dryness.
